L&T and UAE group win $150m construction deal

Dubai: A joint venture between India's Larsen & Toubro (L&T) and UAE-based Eastern Contracting (Eastern) has recently won a $150 million (Dh550 million) construction contract for the Victory Heights Golf Residential and Development, a statement said.

Victory Heights Golf Residential and Development is a joint-venture between Arcapita, a Bahrain based investment bank, and Dubai Sports City. The L&T joint venture will build the final phase of the luxury golfing residential community in Dubai Sports City.

The project involves construction of 295 villas in the Carmen, Novelia, Calida and Morella Villages of the Victory Heights community.

Covering 25 million square feet, the entire Victory Heights project contains 935 villas and town homes set in and around the Ernie Els-designed The Dunes golf course. Prices start from Dh2.87 million.
